Helpline Deputy Director

Michael is the Deputy Director of the Digital Security Helpline, where they support civil society groups and human rights defenders in staying digitally secure. They have been with Access Now since 2012.

In addition to their work at Access Now, Michael supports the development of Qubes OS, a security and privacy-focused operating system.

The Access Facebook Award seeks innovative projects using the Facebook platform to promote human rights and development, including tools that enhance freedom of speech and expression or improve the economic well-being of disadvantaged groups.
