Melissa Kim

Development Director

As Development Director, Melissa is responsible for ensuring the organization has the resources it needs to defend and extend the digital rights of users at risk around the world. She leads the organization’s development team in managing grants and identifying new opportunities for support. To that end, she works closely with the rest of Access Now’s diverse and global team of experts to direct existing and potential resources according to the organization’s programmatic, operational, and financial priorities and needs. She holds a B.A. from Princeton University, where she focused on English literature and gender and sexuality studies. She is the owner of the only known database of Access Now pets (which is, of course, GDPR compliant).
