Mary is Access Now's Development Manager – Grants & Institutional Giving. Prior to joining Access Now, Mary served as a Program Officer for the Institute of International Education's Artist Protection Fund, a grantmaking initiative that provides global fellowships to artists threatened by conflict, displacement, or censorship. Mary is also an art writer and historian who holds an MA in Modern Art: Critical & Curatorial Studies from Columbia University. She has worked for major cultural institutions including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, and has lived and studied abroad extensively in France and Canada.
