Julie Fuchs
Intern
Julie’s work at Access Now focuses on surveillance and spyware, artificial intelligence, and data protection issues. She is a human rights legal practitioner, holding an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action from Aix-Marseille University, with a speciality in forced migration and human security from the University of Malta. Eager to learn more about the intersection between human rights and technology, Julie wrote her Master’s thesis on facial recognition and its human rights implications in Europe and completely fell for the topic. She has worked for different human rights NGOs in France and Malta, including on asylum issues and gender-based violence, and for the UNHCR.
