Access Now is pleased to announce that Eric Null has joined us as the U.S. Policy Manager, where he will lead our efforts on protecting the digital rights of users in the United States on consumer privacy, broadband policy, and surveillance, among other issues.
Mr. Null joins us after having spent over three years at New America’s Open Technology Institute, and nearly a decade actively engaging on tech policy issues such as Net Neutrality, broadcast television regulation, broadband mapping, data protection, and civil rights online. He’s experienced working with all branches of government, and has engaged other stakeholders, from companies to civil society. He has previously testified before the Senate Tech Task Force, has provided testimony to several state legislatures, and has been a member of the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer Advisory Committee. Mr. Null will continue much of this work as Access Now’s new U.S. Policy Manager.
“We are very excited to have Eric join our team. Eric will lead our strategic policy engagement in the U.S. and will reinforce our talented global policy team. Eric’s experience and knowledge on a vast array of important digital issues, coupled with his strategic mindset and appetite to defend and extend digital rights, will be a great asset for Access Now,” said Guillermo Beltrà, Policy Director at Access Now.
“I am thrilled to be joining Access Now and working with such an inspiring team of international experts. Access Now is widely respected and has a strong track record throughout the world on many issues I hold dear, and I hope to continue that trend. This work has never been more important, as we face seemingly constant attacks to our online rights,” Eric Null said.
